The Genuine Jazz Orchestra is a 17-piece Jazz Big Band, committed to bringing a new energy and passion to the music of Count Basie, Quincy Jones, Gil Evans, and other Big Band legends. Led by drummer Ben Cooper and multi-instrumentalist Podge Kilbride, our members share a hunger to preserve and energize the tradition of large jazz ensemble music. The band’s personnel comprises a heady cocktail of nationally-renowned jazz soloists, along with rising stars of the Dublin jazz scene. Featuring guest vocalist Charlie Moon, the Genuine Jazz Orchestra represents an exciting new addition to the vanguard of Irish jazz.
