New Solo Exhibition, “Don’t fence me in”.
We are delighted to announce the launch of a new solo exhibition by Deirdre Bracken and Barbara Lee.
The exhibition opened by Diana Copperwhite on Thursday the 23rd of March and is on view upstairs in Walters until April 23rd.
“The title of our exhibition Don’t Fence me In accurately describes my creative energy and the nature of my painting practice. Taking my inspiration from the natural world allowed for an exhaustive colour palette and range of texture and form for this body of work.
While I hold a lot of contrasting ideas in my head, I try to resist imposing my will to determine the outcome. Maintaining a fluidity and lightness of touch often allows the image to emerge organically.”
